Solar Magnetic Wireless Camera Systems for Trucks, RVs and Caravans

Learn how MCNE F25 solar magnetic wireless cameras work, where they suit larger vehicles and which of four dedicated-monitor kits best matches your viewing needs.

MCNE F25 solar magnetic wireless camera mounted on a caravan for trucks, RVs and trailers

For trucks, RVs, caravans, trailers and horse floats, running a long video cable from the rear of the vehicle to the cab is not always practical. An MCNE F25 solar magnetic wireless camera combines a rechargeable battery, solar charging and a magnetic mount, then sends its live image to a compatible in-cab monitor.

The F25 systems in this guide use a dedicated monitor. They are different from the single F25C phone-view camera, which connects directly to a mobile app and is not included in this comparison.

How the F25 solar magnetic camera works

  • Magnetic mounting: The camera attaches to a clean, flat steel surface without drilling, making installation and repositioning straightforward.
  • Solar and USB-C charging: A built-in 9600mAh rechargeable battery is supported by the integrated solar panel, with USB-C available for backup charging.
  • 2.4GHz wireless video: The camera sends its image to a compatible monitor without a long video cable. Selected kits support up to 300 metres in a clear, unobstructed line of sight; vehicles, buildings and radio interference can reduce practical range.
  • Low-light and all-weather use: Starlight colour low-light viewing and an IP68-rated enclosure help the camera work in changing driving and weather conditions.

A reversing or monitoring camera is a driving aid only. Always use mirrors, direct observation and normal safety checks before moving the vehicle.

Where a removable wireless camera can help

  • Reversing a caravan, RV, truck, trailer or horse float.
  • Adding a rear or side view where a permanent cable run is difficult.
  • Monitoring two viewpoints at the same time with a multi-camera kit.
  • Moving or adjusting the camera position when the vehicle setup changes.

What to check before choosing a kit

  1. Number of cameras: Decide whether one rear view is enough or whether you need two viewpoints from the start.
  2. Screen size: A 7-inch monitor is compact, while 10.1-inch and 15.88-inch displays provide more room for split views.
  3. Driver-assistance features: Depending on the kit, options include BSD visual alerts, adjustable parking guidelines and loop recording.
  4. CarPlay and Android Auto: Choose a dual-screen model if you want navigation and compatible phone functions beside the live camera view.
  5. Mounting surface: Confirm that the intended position is clean, flat and made from steel so the magnetic base can attach securely.

Basic F25 pairing sequence

  1. Charge the camera before first use.
  2. Press and hold the camera's red button for at least two seconds to turn it on.
  3. Power on the compatible monitor and keep the camera close during pairing.
  4. On the monitor, select MENU → PAIR → OK for each supplied camera.

Follow the user manual supplied with your exact kit for channel selection, display layout and model-specific settings.

Installation and safety checks

  • Clean and dry the steel mounting surface before attaching the camera.
  • Confirm that the magnetic base is firmly seated before every trip.
  • Aim the camera and test the view from the driver's seat before driving.
  • Keep the monitor and power cable clear of vehicle controls and the driver's legal field of view.
  • Check the battery level and recharge by USB-C when solar charging has been limited.

Which F25 system is right for you?

Choose TA-147-01 for a compact single-camera starting point, TA-139-01 for two-camera coverage on a 7-inch monitor, TA-148-01 for a larger screen and recording, or TA-149-01 when you want CarPlay or compatible Android Auto beside the live camera view.
